The market continued to grow in May, seeing year-over-year housing market statistics rise for all areas and home types, aside from condominium properties in Barrie. Essa and Oro-Medonte posted the highest growth, with the surrounding areas trailing close behind them!

City of Barrie
Within the City of Barrie, detached residential properties posted an average selling price for the month of May 2016 of $459,132, an increase of 20% over May 2015.
Residential Townhouse, Link and Semi-Detached homes in the City of Barrie posted an average selling price of $322,184 in May 2016, a 19% increase over May 2015.
Condominium sales average for the City of Barrie for the month of May 2016 was $253,411, a -2% decrease compared to May 2015.
Essa Township
In Essa Township, detached residential properties posted an average selling price of $505,585 in May 2016, an increase of 32% over May 2015.
Town of Innisfil
Detached residential properties in the Town of Innisfil posted an average selling price of $494,397 in May 2016, an increase of 21% over the month of May 2015.
Oro-Medonte Township
The average selling price for detached residential properties in Oro-Medonte in May 2016 was $630,115, an increase of 42% over May 2015.
Springwater Township
Detached residential homes in Springwater Township posted an average selling price in May 2016 of $593,436, an increase of 12% over May 2015.
