Wow! What a wild past few months! We’ve had a ton of questions about how COVID-19 is affecting the market and it’s not exactly what you’d think!

For those of you thinking about buying or selling and wondering what has changed in the time of COVID-19, here is a quick list of precautions that the real estate industry is taking:
-Most brokerages are requiring declarations, prior to showings, stating that the agent and buyers have not been out of the province in the last 14 days, have not or are not experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms, and have not been in contact with anyone else who has.
-Masks are suggested when viewing properties, as well as hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes
-Buyers and agents are advised not to touch surfaces while at viewings
-‘Double Bookings’, or 2 showings at the same time, have become extremely rare
-Showings are limited to the immediate purchasers and children are discouraged from viewings whenever possible
