We are on the verge of the ‘back to school’ (and for some back to work) season after what might have been the longest March break in history! At the same time it’s both hard to believe the summer is over, and wildly exhilarating to get back to some sense of normalcy. One thing that doesn’t seem to be normalizing quite yet is the Simcoe County housing market! We’ve seen incredible changes in pricing, days on market for listed properties and inventory in our Simcoe County housing market, not to mention those multiple offer situations.
We’ve run through Simcoe County Real Estate market details by township and municipality to help you stay informed and in position to make an empowered real estate decision.

For those of you thinking about buying or selling and wondering what has changed in the time of COVID-19, here is a quick list of precautions that the real estate industry is taking:
-Most brokerages are requiring declarations, prior to showings, stating that the agent and buyers have not been out of the province in the last 14 days, have not or are not experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms, and have not been in contact with anyone else who has.
-Masks are required when viewing properties, as well as hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes
-Buyers and agents are advised not to touch surfaces while at viewings
-‘Double Bookings’, or 2 showings at the same time, have become extremely rare
-Showings are limited to the immediate purchasers, and children are discouraged from viewings whenever possible
