Ever felt stuck in a restaurant rut?! Date night rolls around and you find yourself at the same restaurant as last time, crossing your fingers that you get the same table. Enter Barrielicious…..the cure for restaurant rut!
What is Barrielicious?
Simply put, Barrielicious is delicious! Barrielicious is a bi-annual food festival celebrating the unique dining options available in Barrie, Midland, Orillia, Thornton and Alliston. In both the summer and winter seasons, local restaurants come together to offer prix fixe menus for $25, $20 or $15. At those prices, it’s pretty darn affordable to cram a few date nights into your week!
This season, 57 restaurants have joined the fun offering everything from vegan burgers to butter chicken. Some of our favourites like The Local Gastropub and Tara are participating so be sure to check them out. We’re looking forward to trying some others as well. If you are thinking about making the move to Barrie and the surrounding areas, now is a perfect time to come and explore what this great city has to offer. Many of these restaurants are located a short walk from each other, so you don’t need to visit just one! While you are here, don’t forget to check out the waterfront or some of our current listings!
